Once again, Jean Paul Gaultier is paying tribute to Mexico, a country that is very close to his heart, by celebrating one of its most popular holidays — the Day of the Dead. Inspired by the themes of this beautiful tradition, Gaultier has given them a unique twist by incorporating colourful tattoo inspired prints and lavish motifs featuring geometric designs, floral skulls and lace. A hyper-expressive pictorial fusion inspired by the perforated designs of papel picado paired here with the iconic banknote print, a cult reference from a 90s Gaultier catwalk collection.
