London Calling!

Last week, the Menswear Autumn-Winter Ready-to-Wear 2012/2013 collection thrust guests onto the streets of London, somewhere between the chap style of Scotland Yard and the nonchalant rebellious look from the docks. As usual, the couturier brought together two traditionally opposing worlds to create vagabond dandies, combining a smart look with more streetwear influences. The fashion house's fundamental pieces such as the kilt, long skirt, leather trousers and military pattern were all there, as you would expect.
In the end, this was a collection with the emphasis very much on patterns: red or grey brick walls, tattoo and graffiti prints. As if to prove it, in the final scene the models climbed up onto scaffolding and undressed to reveal their tattoo... All set against a soundtrack of Like A Hobo by Charlie Winston, reinforcing this quirky concept of a Sherlock holm-esque hobo. Elementary, my dear!
