An exceptional event deserves an exceptional edition! To celebrate its switch to a bi-monthly publication, the Chinese edition of Elle magazine has put Jean Paul Gaultier in the spotlight. Besides granting the Spring/Summer 2012 collection its March issue cover, the magazine also features a nine-page story dedicated to the brand.
In addition to an interview, Jean Paul Gaultier himself styled a whole editorial shot by Mark Pillai at the Maison de Couture in Rue Saint-Martin, combining the key outfits from his ready-to-wear collection with pieces from other designers. In front of the camera, two of the currently most sought-after Chinese models, Shu Pei and Kiki Kang, were transformed into retro pin-up girls...with a decidedly rock chick twist, thanks to their tattoo print tights and nonchalant attitude!
